HerbalTech 2024 was lit

Alhamdulillah Herbal Technology and Product Development Professional Training came to the end after nearly 20 industrial participants completed the first ever professional training conducted physically at School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia from 21 to 23 August 2024. The workshop was designed to introduce and expose the participants from industries with the new knowledge and experience in herbal technology and product development encompassing from extraction and microencapsulation technology to raw material and finished product quality control and safety. The session was complemented with food product labelling and requirement session. The technical skills of participants were polished with hand-on activity in laboratory while introducing the relevant high end instruments.

As part of organizing committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the invited speakers (Dr Thuan Chew Tan and Dr Azniwati) and my cheerful facilitators (Chandrika, Fatin, Yasmin, Syafa and Dr Azfar) for your commitment and relentless support to ensure this event went through smooothly. Without forgotten, the participants who came from various industries locally and regionally to learn on the herbal product development including Sky Resources Group, Hurix's, Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, CK INGREDIENT SDN BHD, Bakrie Renewable Chemicals, F.A. Herbs, Sheng Kimn Hong etc. Thank you for your support. To conclude, the three day workshop was fruitful and fully packed with continuous insightful knowledge sharing between the trainers and fellow participants. As a speaker, I was looking forward to discuss on the challenges and difficulties faced by our participants back in the industries. Hope the knowledge and experience gained throughout the session will be implemented in the industries to further enhance the productivity and efficiency.
