First Debut in IMTC 2024

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural participation in The International Materials Technology Challenge 2024, an esteemed event organized by the Malaysian Solid State Science & Technology Society in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia. This event has proven to be a remarkable experience for us, culminating in the achievement of a silver award, which we view as a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. Kudos to our #PhytoRG members, Ms Chandrika Visallane and Ms Nur Aqilah Ismail for their unwavering commitment and relentless efforts that led to this recognition. Their passion for research and innovation is truly inspiring.

Our ongoing research focuses on the development of advanced bioadsorbents derived from underutilized bioresources. This innovative approach aims to facilitate the recovery of high-value bioactive compounds from various biomass sources, which has significant implications for sustainability and environmental conservation. The poster exhibition at the challenge provided us with an invaluable platform to not only showcase our research findings but also to engage in meaningful discussions with experts in the field and other passionate participants. These interactions are crucial as they foster collaboration and offer new insights that can help us refine and enhance our work further.

As the principal investigator of our research group, I continuously encourage my team members to adopt a proactive and enthusiastic approach to their research endeavors. This encouragement is vital as it cultivates an environment where creativity and innovation can flourish. Participating in events like The International Materials Technology Challenge is one of the many ways we strive to make a positive impact with our research, not only within the scientific community but also in the broader society. We believe that by sharing our findings and engaging with others, we can contribute to the advancement of knowledge and foster a culture of research that benefits everyone.
