Proudly present to you our latest publication from #PhytoRG. We are excited to announce that we have successfully disseminated this significant research output in the esteemed DARU Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The journey to reach this milestone was neither quick nor easy; it involved extensive research, countless hours of hard work, and a deep commitment to our goals. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all team members who contributed their invaluable insights, expertise, and relentless support throughout this process. Their dedication was instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. As a research group, we remain steadfast in our mission to produce high-impact research work that makes meaningful contributions to the field of herbal medicine, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional practices and modern scientific understanding.
This paper focuses on the development of various polysaccharide/gelatin amorphous hydrogels, which have been enhanced through the impregnation of standardized oil palm leaf extract that is rich in bioflavonoids. Utilizing a one-pot synthesis method, we were able to create these innovative hydrogels that exhibit multiple crosslinking networks, which are crucial for their stability and functionality. The results of our study revealed that the bioflavonoid-loaded hydrogels not only exhibited excellent physicochemical properties but also demonstrated remarkable biological properties, indicating their potential as a new and innovative formulation in the sustainable advancement of wound care herbal products. These findings suggest that our hydrogels could play a significant role in promoting wound healing, offering a natural alternative to conventional wound care solutions. The full paper detailing our methodology, findings, and implications can be found in the link below, and we encourage readers to explore the comprehensive insights we have provided.
