Unilin Excels at Wood Anatomy Workshop with Outstanding Participation

Alhamdulillah, School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia was given opportunity to share our experience to Unilin on wood anatomy. It was a fruitful two day workshop encompassing modules including wood anatomy and structure, physical, mechanical and chemical properties. We designed our training tailored to the need of the industry.
As a phytochemist, I was given a chance to share my knowledge and experience on wood chemistry with the participants where we discussed in depth the chemical compositions in wood particularly in oak species and how does it affect the chemical properties of the wood and its derived products. The challenges and problems faced by the industry were carefully discussed and finally unvealed the root cause of the problems.
The session was interactive and engaging with passionate participants who eager to learn new knowledge and experience. The workshop was complemented with hand-on activity in laboratory. Hopefully, the training output will help enhancing their productivity and efficiency in industrial setting. This workshop was supported by HRD Corp - Human Resource Development Corporation.
